I have been coaching/involved with WCC since 2014! I am originally from Georgia where I swam both club AND summer league! I swam for 4 years at Wittenberg University, and then moved to Lexington to pursue a Master's degree from UK. Since moving to Lexington in 2012, I have been coaching Transylvania Univeristy's swim and dive team. My goal each summer is for each child to grow in confidence, learn something new about the sport and themselves, and ultimately HAVE FUN! I am looking forward to another great summer at WCC! My husband, Andrew and I have 2 daughters, Camden (7) and Kennedy (4).
This is Austin’s 6th year with WCC! Austin can also be found coaching Swimchester Sailfish and coordinating the Learn to Swim Program at Winchester-Clark County Parks and Recreation. She is a certified Red Cross WSI, ASCA Level 2 Coach and a Level 1 certified Adapted Aquatics Instructor with Swim Angelfish. She loves educating swimmers on proper technique and cheering loudly as they race in the water. Her previous coaching experiences include LFUCG, Dunbar, Beaumont Y, LCA and GRC. As an athlete, Austin swam for Wildcat Aquatics and Signature Club. She currently resides in Winchester with her husband, Robert, and their 4 children.
Hello WCC friends and family!! My name is Ameliya Lynn and I am so excited to be coaching WCC for a second summer season! I currently attend Transylvania University and will be going into my senior year this fall! Getting to be a coach at WCC again will make for the best summer ever! I can’t wait to be back on deck with everyone! Let’s Go Dolphins!
Hi everyone! I’m excited to take on a new role on the pool deck. I was a club swimmer for 10 years and also spent many summers swimming for WCC. I am a certified water safety (swim lessons) instructor and a lifeguard. I know swimming can be so much fun and I can’t wait to help kids grow in their confidence both in and out of the water!
